in the quiet of His love.

i've been in a stinky feisty mood. there, i said it.

i've analyzed why my grumps have taken over my present mood for the past several days and only one answer seems to surface: i am so totally not perfect {duh!} and need my Jesus.

i don't know if you can relate to me, but i get so frustrated with myself when i feel this way. i know i don't have a logical reason to fuss about myself, so it turns into more fuss. a vicious cycle, i tell you. it's ugly.

i've been suffering from intense headaches, yes. i've moved away from close family and friends, yes. i've been adjusting to new surroundings, yes. i've been emotionally stabilizing my kiddos, yes. i've been trying to extend myself to new friends, yes. trust me, i can find lots of reasons to justify an overload. it reminds me to trust my mood, circumstantial or not, to the Lord. it reminds me to focus on the good things in life. the good things from above. there are many that rain down on a daily basis, i don't dare miss out because of my feisty blinders blocking my view. for example, like the giant orange glow of the full moon filling my window's pane. it's huge. ginormous. brilliant in its presence. this world is so big. it has nothing on a few fussy feelings i throw at it.

Lord, remind me to be quiet in your love tonight. remind me that you're so much bigger than i can give you glory for. you placed the moon there to say "goodnight, daughter. rest in me tonight." thank you for your presence. always.

the Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. zephaniah 3:17

  3. I need that reminder often.
You will adjust. Take it from me, I move a lot and it takes some time, but it will feel like home. If you let it.
