uplifted.

sometimes you just have to get things out in the open to feel a little better about the way you're feeling, you know? in other words, i've been uplifted a bit in the past twenty-four hours.

i don't think it had anything to do with adjusting or being here, because honestly? i, we, totally love it. i think it was the pure fact that i'm woman and hear me roar. okay, so maybe not. but it sounds good. thank you for the understandably sweet comments...and for not judging. but if you did, i don't blame you. *wink

guess what we did today?! oh yeah...played in the pool for the ninety-third time! or was it the one-hundredth and thirty-third? either way, jessa is our little fish and with miley quickly becoming a tadpole, there isn't a day that goes by that we're not down there. i take that back. this last sunday was "cooler" at 89 ish degrees, breezy and a little rainy, so we decided to stay in. shocking, i know. surprisingly, we've all handled the heat really well, for the most part. i'm the only wimp when it comes to blistering hot weather and find it impossible to go out and buy ice cream without returning it home in a big slop of chocolate soup.

we continue to meet super nice people and have coincidentally met several people from our home state...even home city! now when i need to deeply reminisce about the northwest, i know who's door to knock on. have i mentioned there are sixteen children just on our floor alone? no? well, jessa is in friend heaven...with an endless array of little ones to play and splash with.

the Lord has certainly showered His favor upon us once again.
