life, everyday {week eighteen}.

i feel like our life here has been like a growing baby. time whizzing by with experience and memory molding each day. i catch myself holding onto a few little 'moments' that i feel will help define our journey. just as i would watching one of my wee ones grow. eighteen weeks will quickly turn into eighteen months...with a simple blink of our eyes. with that, i want to continue capturing the detail of the Lord's blessing in the soul of our everyday.


{10.16.09} friday: the fall fun fest was exactly what we needed...unfortunately, the hubby had to work. definitely not the same without him {i felt the need to explain that i really am married, despite the disappearance of my better half on most occasions}. pumpkin decorating. candy fishing. ring tossing. bounce house jumping. blind-folded candy searching. face painting. friends chasing. friends giggling. friends sharing. barbecuing. i quickly realized why this is a favorite around campus and we are already eagerly anticipating the spring fun fest. sparkly faces bring big smiles to these two sweet friends!
{10.17.09} saturday: and the result of little hunny after friday night? with blankie, binkie, and puppy in hand she fell apart on the kitchen floor. i adore how she places one finger on her binks when she's really tired. and sleepy she was. pretty much all. day. long.
{10.18.09} sunday: we took the plunge. the hubby talked me into trying out the 'free trial'. we set up an online movie for the girls and placed our first mail order movie to arrive by tuesday. i have to say, i'm kinda' liking the idea of having accessible movies from every era available at our fingertips.
{10.19.09} monday: what better way to start a new week? no, i didn't have it for breakfast {though i totally could have}. slurp. gone. yum.
{10.20.09} tuesday: she's just too precious. i couldn't resist this one. some how, some way, it speaks to me. she speaks to me through her simple gaze and enchanting big brown eyes. she speaks to me through her daintiness. her captured quietness. her sweet face.
{10.21.09} wednesday: and her? joy escapes her smiley eyes like doves flocking from their captive cage. beautiful. breathtaking. her joy weaves her way into my heart and refreshes my mama soul. she's special. and many have been blessed by her creative, outgoing nature. stuffed animal friends included. *wink
{10.22.09} thursday: interpreted by my budding artist, this is our family missing papa with tear-stained eyes. i think someone's had someone else on their mind lately. papa?
