8:15am: left house with a prayer and full load
10:30am: stopped at our first rest stop, 'dead man's pass', for a good stretch, a little run around and potty break
2:00pm: had lunch outside of ontario {no, not canada}, the nicest rest stop i personally have ever seen. half tempted to camp out for the night, buuut...
2:30pm back on the road after realizing we lost an hour of time due to the time zone change.
6:15pm: after making our way through three states, we arrived at our first night camp with two little girls ready to play.
i'm sitting in the camper at our first koa kampground in idaho. it's a very nice one with a pool, ice cream social, father's day breakfast tomorrow morning (a little reminder for you that tomorrow is father's day *wink), a playground, mini golf, pedal boats...
we drove ten hours today and the girls did fabulous! we got jessa a portable dvd player which makes her feel even more like the princess of the backseat. with the right snacks, scheduled rest stops and perfect movies, it made for a successful first day on the road.
glad the drive is going good:) thank goodness for technology-camping with laptops and a dvd player, ahhh that's the life! how is miley doing with the drive?
