salut! ca va?

i love being captivated by their exotic language. however, it takes some getting used to. we were down in the market yesterday where my auntie gets her things daily (because everything is so fresh, you buy it daily here) and i saw some children's books. i've been keeping my eye out...i have already found a cute english one in great britain with some of the lingo "quirks" for jessa and thought it would be fun to pick one up at each destination. weeeelll...if only jess could speak french, i guess. i didn't even think about that as i picked it up. a great way to teach her the culture of their language i suppose. *smile

it's thursday morning, a good nine hours past the time in the states. it is such a wonderful blessing to have unlimited calling and internet access here, as i've been calling the girls and hubby each chance i get. i can't start calling over there until about 5:30 in the evening here. i don't want to wake up the girls too early...my mom has them sleeping in until 8 or 8:30am. i do need to get the drug she's using to allow them to do that! *wink

we don't have much planned today. we didn't want to get ourselves worn out before we head for venice, italy tomorrow. we're waking up "at the butt-crack of dawn", like auntie said, and driving a long 8 eight hours to one of the most beautiful cities in the world. we'll spend friday and saturday night there in a gorgeous hotel and drive back sunday, stopping in verona to visit juliet's house (from romeo and juliet), casa di giulietta, a roman arena and enjoy some lunch at possibly, a pizzeria.

well, auntie just brought home pain ou chocolat or a chocolate croissant. they are fabulous!!
