in approximately one hour and twenty seven minutes, we sign the papers. it can only be explained as bittersweet. our house will only be ours until it is recorded and papers are finalized. which guesstimating is twenty four hours-ish.
growing up in the same house for eighteen years, i didn't appreciate change. it scared me. it meant rethinking. re-prioritizing. reorganizing. big decisions made me a little sweaty palmed and unsure.
moving four times in the last eight years has moved my anxiety-for-change to a new appreciation for opportunity. you could say it's because i've grown up. or because i have a better idea of what change really means. or simply because experience makes the heart stronger. it very well could be all of the above.
i find it easy to give the Lord thanks for 'changing' my heart for change. after all, in His leading and guiding, it brings about abundant blessings. i walk by faith, not by sight. His faithfulness to fulfill promises is what's taking this heart to dallas. i have faith that He makes good on His word. i have faith in His change for myself and my family.
once we settle in dallas, it will have been six moves in nine years. and i'm okay with that.
my attitude for change is all grown up now.
