it's all about surrendering, isn't it? life. control. dreams about our forthcoming future. well-being of our kids in this current dying economy. health. finances. relationships. just give it all back, i tell myself. give back the control. stop worrying so much. stop stressing. stop all the madness.
it's called the going good blues. seemingly, things are going really 'well' in our little shell. it's the anticipation of it all crashing down at any given moment. going good blues. the unexpected turn.
the whispers of my heart have been settle this week. i feel like i have to convince myself that i will praise the Lord even in a brewing storm. His faithfulness doesn't run out when things get a little rocky. it doesn't mean that He turns His back on us. not even for a split second. it's just me. my worry wart-ed-ness and reluctance. and it's taking away from basking in His blessings. annoying, i tell you! annoying!
i agree-it is annoying, but we all do it you are not alone in your worry wart-ed-ness:)
ReplyDeleteare you booking up lots of photo shoots?
let me know when you want to go for a walk...maybe after bible study?????
can i just say AMEN to this post?? i read 1 john 4 this morning after God highlighted it in my devotional:
ReplyDelete"In this way, love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgement, b/c in this world we are like him. There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love." (verses 17-18)...
let's just try to remember that GOD LOVES US...and in HIS LOVE there should be no fear ;)
