let me start off by saying this account has been going on for approximately eight years. by the end of the story, you will realize just how bad eight years really is.
it all started with the love of mcdonald's chicken nuggets and the invention of their hot mustard. holy yumminess. it's a rare occassion that i'm a glutton for those nuggets of rubber. and i cannot, i repeat, cannot eat them without hot mustard. simply cannot.
my husband understands this relationship necessity when it comes to my favorite mcdonald's meal. the two go hand in hand. the two shall never part. they were made for eachother. enlighten me with any other cliche's, but i think you get the point. everytime i send the hubby out to get this delectable goodness for dinner (which remember, doesn't happen often, but definitely a handful of times in an eight year span), i am confident that this time he will get it right. this time has never been.
first, it was honey mustard.
once it was no sauce at all.
the next time, it was hot sauce. umm...ick!
and repeat for eight years.
it gets even better. the last time he was in the drive through ordering on his own, he called me from the cell phone to double check what it was i liked for dipping. he repeated it back to me with confidence three times and showed up at home with the chili sauce. just the other night on the road, we stopped at the closest mc-e-d's. with me sitting in the passenger seat telling him my order, he spoke into the mic that i wanted honey mustard. of course, i quickly corrected him, trying not to get completely annoyed. i honestly don't get it. i just can't understand. maybe it's just one of our things. one of those quirks that we can always laugh about. and i do try to laugh. really.
i have come to two conclusions...
one, go and take the order myself or...
two, keep a healthy stock of HOT MUSTARD in the cupboard at home.
HAHAHA so funny! Andy and i had an experiance JUST LIKE THAT THIS MORNING!!!
ReplyDeletethat is so funny! i am the same way with my sauces, dave says i am high maintenance, i just know what i like!
ReplyDeletemy sauces that i have to have or i will NOT eat the main dish are:
phad thai and peanut sauce
mcd's french fries with tarter AND sweet and sour.
when i was pregnant, i craved phad thai a lot, if he came home without peanut sauce, you better believe he went back to get it:) what a good guy!
