a sunday afternoon

can anyone please tell me what is going on with the seahawks? anyone? just a smidget of information? please? cause seriously, this is getting ridiculous and it's only the second game of the season. really now. as our feet trudge around the house in a mopey demeanor, we relentlessly hold onto hope for week three. and they better get their act together.

coming 'home' is always refreshing. it's encouraging to see familiar faces at church. relaxing to snuggle down on a traditional sunday afternoon. a joy to watch jessa immerse herself in papa and grammy's loving arms. and good to know we have family to lean on when the seahawks completely destroy themselves in oblivion once again...in overtime...with a field goal. due to messy offensive plays in the first half and lack of defense in the second...oh, what? was i going off again? okay, back to the warm fuzzy thoughts of home.

i absolutely love visiting church service when we're here. as i walk the pews and hallways of my once familiar stomping grounds, i am reminded that this is where i grew. this is where i was fed. i was enriched and blessed in so many ways through the influence of my spiritual family. they are still a huge part of our support system today. they committed themselves to witness the day we were married. the prayerful encouragement through the birth of our baby girls. and holding us to the accountability of our future ministry. that is what family does. and that is what this family is so good at doing.

i can't wait to post pictures of the beautiful wedding that was attended yesterday evening.
