i actually started this blog on the day that it is posted, but today, as i finish, it is already friday. i can't believe the days as they fly. filled with running around. wondering. challenging frustrations. and somewhat happy endings. these are the things that i hold within my grasp, squeezing the life out of each hour of each day as it too quickly vanishes. here is what started to transpire on that day that seems oh-too long ago,
this is why i love blogging. a blank white canvas to fill with my thoughts. frustrations of the day. to celebrate overcoming those frustrating challenges. a chance to just
'let it out' and leave it there.
after today, i totoally understand why we have never bought a [used] car from a car lot. it is so stinkin' stressful! except for at the end of today, as we lay our heads on our pillow, a "new" car sits in our driveway. i think it followed us home. it was afraid and lonely with those overbearing salespeople. dusty. un-held. never talked to. we needed to rescue it.

to make a very long story short, there were certain 'things' that made the process of owning our new 2000 subaru legacy outback 'limited' very aggravating and at some points, unbearable. we almost took that little sucker back. but in the end, we prevailed and learned to trust. jacob says we learned to trust in...jim. ha! that happens to be our salesperson. i might have to disagree with him on that one {
small joke}. and even though we might have a sour taste in our mouth from the establishment we bought it from, we know that we ended up with a reliable car for our family. for us, that's what matters. but i will tell you what...when someone makes it a stressful process, with something so big, you have a tendency to be extra paranoid about the whole "buyer's remorse". "did i do the right thing?" "did we get taken for?" those quick, pounding questions in your chest just illuminating themselves even more.
now, being friday, things are looking a bit more up. we have
most of the things taken care of that needed to be done. feeling a little more excited about the purchase is allowed. we are just left with keys that don't work in all of the doors. fancy that, huh? i guess someday we can just laugh. and remember that we trusted more on that day. and
not in jim!
