just some random things that i have found floating through my thoughts throughout the week...
...i really like charmin ultra toilet paper. why in the world do public restrooms have to have the thinnest, cheapest paper ever found? and they wonder why there are always little pieces all over their bathroom floors.
...what does miley think about as she drifts off to sleep? big eyes fluttering back and forth underneath her eyelids. perfect little lips pursed and ready to dream. i could stare at her face forever. quickly losing track of the minutes as they pass.
...i wonder what the attitude is of the general population who uses rental cars. do they treat them with respect? or use reckless abandon? returning them in a day or two with no responsibility. i would like to think the first case, maybe because we found out that our little car might very well have been a rental car in its past.
...i miss my pledge dusting spray. it has been trapped in the garage for a week or more. i was going to grab some at the closest grocery store (which is not a walmart), and it was going to cost over $5 dollars. yeah right! i don't miss it that much! jacob has the only key to the garage and takes it with him everyday. by the end of the day, it's not really on my mind to remind him. maybe writing about it will put it in the forefront of my brain.
...this week has really been a chance for me to reflect on my responsibility as a parent. i'm not sure why this week...but i am just challenged everyday to be a better parent. i love the passion that stirs within me to continue to establish consistant discipline and reinforce good behavior. i just love this ultimate job the Lord has given me and i hope i do my best at it everyday.
...in the midst of some stressful points these past few days, jacob and i have had a lot of fun together despite. i'm glad to be reminded that we're on the same team together and when things get edgy, we become a stronger unit. jacob was relfecting on that fact that it would have been really easy to get upset with eachother. but we knew that wouldn't have done any good. the Lord created us to be eachother's support system. and what is worth getting in between us? hopefully not much and nothing at all!
...how does the weather do it? first, it's extremely hot. sweat rolling. air conditioners blowing. the next day, cold. frigid. wind gusting. hair flying. noses running. what season is it?
...this one, i really don't get. why does pepsi taste so good? when it's cold. on ice. but when i pour any extra down the drain the next morning in the sink, it smells like cleaner. some kind of toxic waste being dumped out. and i shrill at the thought of drinking it again. but then, night comes and dinner is served. and it sounds delicious once again. i can't help but think that smell is a reminder of how toxic it is to my body trying to get back in shape. i'm not really helpin' out in any way.
...i'm quickly realizing my...do i dare say obsession?...for baskets and vases. i guess i always knew it was very apparent as i look around my house. trying to figure out what i can bare to live without (which should essentially be everything, right?), as i make piles to sale, pack, and store. what is this strange love of whicker and clay that resides deep inside? :)
like i said, just a few of those things floating around between each ear. it either gives you a glimpse of what goes on during my brain wave activity or just really makes you worry. :) enjoy the long weekend. i think i'll be giving my brain a break...or just turn it in a different direction and hopefully get some creative juices flowing onto some scrapbook pages. i'll try to post what i get done.
enjoy the day! :)
