18 days!

Didn't last Christmas just get over a couple of months ago? Is my little girl really going to be three? However, I have been super-excited for this time of year since September, so naturally, is has felt like the time has flown by. Cards done and mailed. Presents bought, wrapped and tucked neatly under the tree. I even made it to Black Friday shopping. Waiting in line at Shopko for 1.5 hours for one $9.99 toy seemed like fun to me. And it was. My neice and nephew will be happy.

But most of all, my perspective of the season has stayed in tact through the whole commotion of the marketing views of the "holiday." It's so much more than a holiday...it's Christmas. It's the joy of a baby, the ultimate baby. It's the process of a prophesy coming true on earth. He was born. He died. He rose. He's coming again. Believing in that can really keep a perspective true. It's surreal. It's joy coming to life. I've been watching what seems to be every Christmas movie made for television. There has been only one that has truly touched on what Christmas is all about. Shocking is was on LifeTime.

It wouldn't be Christmas without_______________. What would you fill in the blank with? This year, experience Christmas for what it truly means. Find foyful living through a tiny baby born as a king.
