i don't know if you're aware, but today is 'national candy day'. this might be perfectly appropriate for those that still have overflowing stashes stowed away on top of the fridge, well out of reach of greedy little hands. and well within reach of little mama's who need a pick-me-up in the middle of the day. i'm just sayin'.

speaking of national days...jessa independently declared today as 'lipstick day'. to celebrate, she carefully glossed herself in her sparkly orange lip gloss, ready for her day. as we quickly approach her 5th birthday, i am becoming more aware and overwhelmingly in awe of her character that the Lord has gently touched her with. in every dainty detail, she is such a girlie girl. she is strong and rightly stubborn. gentle and compassionate. she has a magnetism for people, drawing them closer through her warm heart and quickly offered friendship.

she is a true gift. full of purity and life passion. creativity flows beautifully through her, escaping through her works of art as a gift itself.

i can't believe she's almost five. my baby girl.
