this week is special as it involves lots of activity with lots of different family. we've been on-the-go most of the week and soaking in every minute of the fun!
{09.25.09} friday: a wild and crazy trip to the dallas zoo. after six hours of roaming through the exotic animals, the map showed we still had about a quarter of the zoo left, but we were too exhausted to continue. we ended with seeing this big fella' as a farewell.
{09.26.09} saturday: our first adventure at six flags was a big hit with jess. she had such a blast riding the infamous 'kiddie rides' with annie nannie by her side while mama snapped the pictures. unfortunately, rides that go around, around, and around some more don't sit well with me afterwards. or during.
{09.27.09} sunday: after a yummy pf chang lunch in celebration of cousin's 18th birthday, we headed back to the relative's for football, snacks, and playtime in a box {every child's favorite, right?}.
{09.28.09} monday: we had the joy of hosting great grammy and gran'pa roy for dinner. they enjoyed their tour of the campus and we enjoyed their warm fellowship. i'm loving that when they go home and make their daily prayers, they can envision us in our surroundings. they can picture us cozied in our apartment. playing in the courtyard. the hubby, studying in his classes. their visit meant more than just sharing a meal and conversation. it was a deposit into our daily life. and into their daily prayers for us. thank you, gran'ma and gran'pa, for coming so far for such a wonderful visit.
{09.29.09} tuesday: only a month and a half late, we had the pleasure of celebrating grammy's fortiet...err, whatever-ish bday. let's just say fortieth. for the second time. *wink
{09.30.09} wednesday: i still can't even believe the gorgeousness found at the shopping center my mama took me to. the girls stayed with a friend so that we could meet up with auntie and gran'ma and have a girl's day to ourselves. pottery barn, crate and barrel, the container store, anthropologie..etc. a little too good to be true. and within driving distance.
{10.01.09} thursday: as squeals and giggles were radiating from underneath piles of laundry on the floor awaiting their turn in the wash cycle, the girls put them to good use. miley girl was able to flash a quick smirk.
