i knew it would be life changing. a big leap. growing wings and expanding my horizons. my mom was excited, but knew it would be more than hard to see me go. the day i moved out, i was eighteen, headed for college two hours away and ready for the "big" city {so it seemed}.
i was thrilled to be attending moody bible institute. the school of my brother. the town of my best friend who became a roommate. the place i felt i belonged 100%. i even had a teeny inclining that i would be receiving my MRS instead of my BA after my years at school.
the year before i moved out, i spent a year at the community college in my hometown. it was less than thrilling, and besides totally loving my speech class where i felt i grew immensely, i was bored out of my mind. i didn't feel i was learning anything of value and my mind wanted something more. come to find out, it was my heart that was craving the knowledge of a deeper wisdom. at this point, it was clear that i wanted to be the wife of a pastor. the mommy of little ones. so my heart questioned, what better than to attend bible college?
i met him the day of orientation, august 30, 2000. even though my journal recordings don't mention him by name, i remember it like it was yesterday. after meeting several lovely people, i was introduced to two crazy boys in the pew in front of me. they were high school buddies attending college together. jacob and dave. they made me laugh as i got to know them for a few quick minutes. never even thinking for a second that one of them was going to change my life forever.
I can't wait to hear more....:)
