it's been two weeks.
and i just can't believe it.
i guess in retrospect, it does feel like it's been that long already. with the hubby being off work. with my parents back home. with being unpacked within the first two days. we've relished in the freedom of just being a family. together.
its allowed us to wake up every morning with a new agenda on our plate. new discoveries that the city has to offer. our days have unfolded with adventure. long car rides just to find our way around, with tomtom behind the wheel {once again, technology is the coolest}.
some familiar places we've frequented on more than several occasions have helped us stock our home with the essentials. with target only a mile away, they've received our business a few times a week. sometimes convenience costs a little more, no? and on just returning from the laundry room, friendly conversation with a neighbor helped pinpoint the super target only six miles away. this could get very dangerous. i shouldn't also mention that i've located a world market, an anthropologie, the cheesecake factory and a container store. i can't believe i'm within driving distance to a container store! i dare not take my two feet inside their front doors.
we're two blocks away from any doctor that we might need, including an emergency room that we hopefully will never need. our bank sits in our "backyard", almost literally, and hopefully the hubby's future job at starbucks will mean he can walk to work, saving gas. it's all about location and i'm quickly realizing that we found a gem of a spot surrounded by convenience. the Lord plopped us in prime property.
in a little bit, we're receiving the blessing of seeing a familiar face for a visit. he was a groomsman in our wedding, the hubby's bff growing up. he lives in tennessee but is in town for a couple of weeks on work assignment. not only is he our first official guest {besides mom and dad}, but it will be so lovely to have some familiarity grace our surroundings. wishing his beautiful wife and new little baby girl were here too!
i hope everyone has a wonderful sunshiny weekend!
blessings!
