i have approximately three minutes to write this post before starting dinner. ha. who am i kidding.
yesterday was one of those days that you blog in your head constantly throughout the course of the day. don't tell me you've never done that. because you totally do. which of course, if you don't have a blog, then granted, you probably don't. but you should cause it's fun - a little crazy - but fun.
here's to breaking it down:
5:30am woke to miley's sweet voice talking and hubby taking bottle duty - thanks babe!
9:00am got up to the aroma of eggs and bacon dancing their way down the hallway - thanks again babe!
9:45am on our way out the door to our first destination: starbucks
10:15am doing the happy dance with frap in hand and remembering that i need to get back on my health kick
10:30am find myself standing in line at the costco membership counter returning my adorable mini-laptop (don't panic, hubby ordered me a dell!). continue spending an amazing hour wandering the beautiful aisles of costco - mostly picking out handsome clothes for hubby's new school gear
11:45am leave costco and spot a coyote running down the busiest street in town. what? he looked a wee bit panicked...he should have been...it was completely.random.
12:00pm happily skip into paper plus to pick up two HUGE reams of vibrantly-new paper for cards and newsletters. yippee!
12:11pm call locksmith to pick up part for car (it should have been done by noon) - haven't even started on it yet - ugh
12:12pm make our unplanned way to furniture gallery to check out much-wanted desk and dining set for new apartment (small and space savvy)
12:40pm head back to valley for work bbq
1:00pm totally stuff our faces with gourmet dogs and burgers. enjoy the company of work friends
1:45pm call locksmith for the third time...not getting through and getting {slightly} frustrated
2:00pm collect paycheck and head back towards town to kill time while waiting for the "we're-done-with your-part" phone call
2:20pm make trip to two banks, two shoe stores, one play area, one walley world for diapers...we had an overflow going on that was totally mommy's fault for forgetting diaper bag...aaand pick up 3 jamba juices
3:30pm make one more desperate phone call to dreaded locksmith - have a schedule to keep to get home by five
3:35pm make contact - hallelujah!
3:50pm hubby runs in to pick up part and watches them finish their job, while girls and i wait in truck and call grammy
4:10pm drive home (yes, 20 mins later) with anticipation of putting car back together before meeting in-laws
4:38pm arrive home...hubby rushes to scramble pieces back into their appropriate place in car's steering column. i call kate to wish her a lovely and beautiful birthday. miley takes quick nap
5:02pm mom-in-law calls to ask where we are as hubby quickly puts car seats in now fixed subi - yay!!
5:10pm get to in-laws. hubby zooms off with dad-in-law for a night of golf. girls and i get spoiled with dinner
5:45pm jessa helps wash auntie sara's car and gets extremely soaked. this does not help with her cold, which develops into a severe agonizing cough - lovely
6:15pm throw wet clothes in dryer as half-naked girl runs around in-laws house
6:43pm hang out, watch game shows, and end the evening with cinderella
8:58pm hubby returns, they chase elk out of their gate, and we take the girls home for a good night's sleep
this may or may not have taken longer than three minutes. i will gladly let you be the judge of that.
