my element of surprise.

yesterday is done. i will just chalk it up to being a grumpy-kind-of-day, be okay with that and move on to today. today's are fresh starts. new beginnings. even if they are only 12 hours from a previous pooey day. and actually, yesterday ended on a few unexpected notes, such as...

...being payday. with a thrown in bonus (whaaat?! thank you VERY much!).

...hubster bringing home chow mein for dinner (totaling $6.62 for four people with leftovers). rock on!

...got our car back from the metal doctor. aaaall better and under budget. whoopee!

...jacob's family arriving safely from seattle. wicked snow storms be gone!

...and me realizing that my diagnosed "poos" are nothing compared to the greater "poos" of others. i think it is quite clear what the word of the day is. okay then? enough said.

today is a different kind of 'one of those days'. you know the days with a familiar ring in their name? the days that bring memories flooding? the way the month lines up with the number in perfect harmony? yup...today is one of those days. to name a few...

...january 13: the day i talked to jacob's parents about being in love with their son.

...june 15: the day the hubby proposed (and i got my first *kiss*).

...january 5: the day jessa started walking.

...december 27: jessa's due date.

...january 14: the day jacob and i started dating.

AND...

...april 4: miley's due date.

a day with an element of surprise to it. a day that makes me go "aww..." in good memory. i like days like these. i can picture myself plopped up on the doctor's table being informed of when little peanut is expected to ripen. i remember thinking, "she'll have the same birthday as her uncle and just a week before daddy." though a small part of me knew these dates are a tinge off. slightly altered for good measure. a guesstimate. but nonetheless, a label that made the whole process more surreal.

i like today. a good day to follow yesterday.
