and the angels rejoiced. two things i love about this (1) it's a salmon fillet that i only paid $4.48/lb and (2) the label that it is so prominently stamped with - "WinCo foods". i have been to this new heaven-of-a-grocery-store four {maybe five} times already. it hasn't even been open two weeks. it's right up there with costco. aaand my heart just skipped a beat.
i also have to give them credit for their freshly daily-made bagels by the bins. there are so many kinds that can be mixed and matched for only $3.48/dozen. the whole grain are my {and jessa's} favorite. deliciousness in my tummy! their produce is the least expensive in town - so i've noticed, their bulk section is fabulous, and their aisles can fit three carts wide. and that is something worth mentioning! i feel like i'm in a movie grocery store as i walk through the perfectly organized shelves, the clean floors, and the assistance of workers in every aisle. some of these hypes might slowly disperse with the amount of time the store is open, but i will surely enjoy every minute i have with WinCo before we move again.
oh Lordy...i heard rumor way back in the day (i.e., 2004) that WinCo was coming to spokane. and i waited...and waited...and then moved away...and VOILA!!! it came.

The salmon is now $5.48lb. They had covered up the cheaper price :(
ReplyDeleteI may have to make a trip to winco this week. I never really got a chance to actually look when I went, there was just too many people. I am very excited about the bulk food and bagels-yummmm-E!
