9. donating to charity. one of our favorite things to do. but around christmas time, it is the best to give a toy/stuffed animal to 'toys for tots' or a similar charity drive.and brown paper bags with love handles? one of the best things ever invented.
i can't wait to take the girls to help serve at a shelter when they are older. i remember doing this with my youth group and was impacted, still to this day by the experience. number nine could almost be titled 'putting others first'. something we want to deeply instill in jessa and miley daily.
I did that with my youth group in Portland as well. I was also impacted, however not in a positive way. I'm really having a hard time wanting to take my kids to do that even though I know it can be a great experience.
