twenty-five days of christmas #8
8. a personal snowfall record. what i mean by this? i don't remember it snowing this much at one time since i've lived here. it has been snowing consistently for 25 hours now. we will be approaching three feet by the end of the day if it keeps up. the town seems to be shutting down. everyone closin' up shop. schools obviously closed. even the waste management. the hubby had to go to work, but will most likely be coming home early. only the vehicles with four wheel drive seem to be making it to their destinations while the remaining cars stay stranded on the side of the roads. he took our truck to work in hopes that he could help people that got stuck, but quickly realized that everyone was stuck. he even saw subies that were high centered because of the amount of snow still on the roads.

ReplyDeletei won't tell you that it is supposed to be 72 degrees here today.
and that i'm wearing a t-shirt. OUTSIDE.
and that our thermostat is set at 64 & we are warm.
...on the flipside, we are SO NOT feeling the christmas-y spirit here--sunglasses & t-shirts just don't do it for us ;)

Oh, I know you're not joking about Starbucks;) You don't know how bad I want a grande hazelnut latte-yummm! It is within walking distance from my house though.
ReplyDeleteyes, but sadly, it was closed. jacob was going to bring me home one on his way back {early} from work, but boo-hoo. i was asking him what all the addicts do in these drastic measures? what IS a girl to do? let's just say i have a horrible headache... ;)
