i am a strong advocate for believing that life is most definitely my real life fairytale. now i could go on about how wonderful my 'prince' is or how precious my little 'princesses' are, but i think you know as well as i do, that's not what this is about. and before you start cursing your computer screen about your life trials and very unlikely fairytale woes, just give me two minutes.
fairy tales traditionally consist of a doting princess, a handsome, brave prince and an evil character of sorts. my life most definitely includes all of the above.
i am a princess, daughter of a heavenly King. i adoringly, and sometimes stupidly (think sleeping beauty and ariel getting into a heap of trouble), await the rescue of my Prince, Son of my heavenly King. a Prince unlike any other.
being a princess does not mean that life is bouncing blond hair, perfectly poofy iron-free dresses, a singing voice from the heavens, or even talented, task-oriented talking animals. life is a sorts of messes. cursed 'evils' i would even say. they're called pms. labor. sweat. toil. strife. broken relationships.
i await my Prince who covers my messes. who removes my messes. all fairy tales hold a story line of muck and mayhem. afterall, it makes for an exciting ending.
and in my fairytale ending, my Prince even slays the dragon. what about yours?
Has anyone ever told you that you're a great writer? I love reading your blogs....
