six months today.

for one hundred and eighty two days we have held her. snuggled her. loved on her. given kisses and hugs. six months ago today she was gifted to us.

one half of a year.and a whole lot of love.

she's a feisty one. her little attitude is developing quite profoundly as she discovers her world around her. she digs her set of lungs, putting them into practice this very moment. we're discovering her long fingers were created for a purpose. she loves to grab a hold of...well, anything and pull. this goes hand in hand with her soon-to-be little chompers. the things she pulls? straight into the mouth. no questions asked. taste first. ask later.

her sleeping habits are a touchy subject. for the moment, let's just not go there.

thank the Lord we have a connection with our children that goes beyond sleepless nights and fits of crying. there's a deep sense of love and adoration that bubbles inside every time i lay my eyes on her button nose, her beautifully-budded lips and gorgeous sparkly eyes.

she's a snuggle bug. a wiggle worm. an observer. a doer. she has sat up for ten seconds on her own and is getting better at becoming a roley-poly. when i bring out the bowl of mush and the spoon becomes visible, she gets all craaazy. i simply can't shovel it in fast enough. don't let her peanut size fool you. it's her master disguise. she has a short fuse when it comes to her tempers being unleashed - if she drops a toy. doesn't get what she wants. loses her binks. someone gets in her way. - watch out world. let's hope this means healthy ambition is in her future?

just a few of her nicknames...snookey, snookums, boober, peanut, punkin', myles, miley-girl...and my favorite is hunny. i know, it's simple and not quite that original. but it's what jessa calls her all. the. time. miley is no doubt going to grow up being adapted to hunny as her birth certificate name. it's "hunny, you hungry?" "hunny, you want to go to sleep?" "hunny! go to sleep, please?!" "where's hunny?" "huuunny, i love you!"

oh. and smiley is another one. i know, i know. it just escapes people's mouths without a thought. they can't help it. it just comes out.

i can't properly describe how much this little one has brought to our lives. her little laugh helps fill this home with joy. it certainly helps that her cute factor is off the charts! if you haven't already guessed, this definitely comes from her daddy.
happy six months little one! we love you completely!

Yes, I am sorry I was cheating on you the other day:) I was going to run up to your window, but there was a long line of cars and I was already getting weird looks for trying to wave and push my stroller, which wasn't working out to well:)
