i have been waiting for you for over two hundred days. thank you for coming quickly, as i enjoy your arrival more than the previous three seasons. i know i shouldn't have favorites, but who can blame me? you're beautiful beyond all reason. you bring smells that intoxicate. your crisp air is just enough to bundle beneath the cozy covers. you drop settle hints of your arriving presence with striking pops of orange, yellow and red. pumpkins. apples. apple cider. hay bales. your leaves promenade themselves eloquently down our street as they tumble to the ground.
and to think, it's only the first day. i get two whole months with you. two months to burn my yummy pumpkin spice candles. two months of bursting colors that make me giddy beyond all belief.
it's the start of settling in. getting back to schedules. organization, or the attempt of. you encourage me to change my attitude with the changing of the trees. you bring families closer through the coming of holidays. i'm grateful for your warm entrance to the earth. the way you transform what has been.
Excellent description!!! I too am in love with autumn. Thanks for your eloquent words to uplift and encourage. Great!
