actually, last night, i knew i would be enjoying the company of jenessa and her adorable munchkin of a man, preston. as known to jessa, buddy. as often as i inform (and remind) her of his name, she still asks me about "buddy." "we go see buddy? buddy has lots of toys?" i reply, "yes, hunny, i'm sure he does." by the way, jenessa...loving your house and still coveting your mirror (oops, did i just type that out loud?). thanks for a great morning of starbucks and creative conversation. :)
before i left the house this morning, i got a call from my thrift shopping buddy in idaho to meet up in the valley to hit some more...well, you know. that large, retro, gaudy red-lettered sign was calling to us. in all of it's flashing beauty.
i returned home to an armful of chubalicious love. i had the honor of watching sweet-boy michael for a little bit this evening. we hung together outside for a bit with the neighbors, had storytime and rolly-polly fun on the floor. last week, his mommy and daddy graciously honored us with the request of being his guardians. we didn't even have to hesitate. we pray that we will never have to take him under our wing in such circumstances. but for him, open arms always. love you, mikey and thanks for the fun today!
so let me compare my day: laundry OR fellowship with coffee, compulsive thrift-shopping with friends, playing with cute babies...hmmm. uh, huh. that's what i thought too.
It sounds like a great day! Better than mine!
