creative juices were flowin' today. i was suppose to fold laundry, put clothes into jessa's dresser (attempt #2), clean out her room a little (again.attempt #5), do a few dishes, vacuum and more of that house diva-ish stuff. instead, i got down with my creative side with heidi. i tackled some projects for a friend-client of mine. some projects i've held onto a little too long, so it felt very nice to get more of it done. i can't wait to confidently hand her back her work. accomplishment just feels good, what can i say.
feeling a little bad about house tidiness not looking its best, my ever-sweet husband walks in with a present for me. he excitedly tells me he got something for me and i beamed with a smile. of course...who wouldn't, no? he crinkles a bag in eagerness around the corner and then hands me the bag. my curiosity dug out a container of yoke's pink-frosted sugar cookies. how devilishly wonderful of him to think of me in such a way! how did he know i was eye-balling those just yesterday, but walked away in reserved self control? he just knows me too well. too well.
and now some updates of cuteness that falls out of jessa's mouth:
she calls sleeves, "slivers". and scissors, "clippers". she scrapbooked her own page today and proudly exclaimed, "i do it all myself!"
we had an "i love you" showdown...yet again, but today it ended very differently:
jessa: "mama? i looove you!"
me: "i love you too, hunny. thank you."
jessa: "i love you mooore."
me: "no, i love yooouuu more."
jessa: "no, i love you more."
me: "i love you the most."
jessa: "i love you the morst."
that is a sweet, creative combination of 'more' and 'most'. that is a new one i just can't beat.
oh no. that is NOT okay that you tempt us all with *saying* you just got down with your creative self...and then don't share what you made. NOT OKAY.
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute that Jessa made a scrapbook page, you will have to post it! Lucky for her she has such a creative mom;)
