we're home! i'll tell ya' what...we have the worst timing with weather. of course, it was a beautiful day on sunday (day after dreadful attempt at yard sale) when we took off for vacation. which made for a fabulous ride through the mountain air. monday through wednesday it was raining, hailing and snowing huge flakes! we woke up wednesday morning to an inch of snow in the gorgeous oregon mountains. brrr. and then, today...thursday. beautiful once again as we head home. yeah...leave our vacation. back home. in the sunshine. good timing.
but really, it was super fun to get away. there is nothing like wallowa lake. it has so many incredible memories. my family has been going there every year since i was like one. or something like that. just as we were walking with the fam down to the lake this morning, i couldn't believe that i was with my own daughters sharing this special place with them. walking with my husband. breathing the mountain air. gazing over the calmness of the water. taking it all in. God is good. He is beautiful. and shares it with us.
i am working on getting pics uploaded and will post soon. some in the snow. some in the sun. probably the strangest trip yet. good times.
