the switch.

i am amazed at the steady lacking of my blog. other situations have deemed way more worthy of my time, and for that, i am grateful. it's good to take a break. get a little behind to help the appreciation of other things take precedent. i say this all with a twinge of knowing how hard it really was giving the computer a back seat to my daily life. but in the end, it feels good.

and i did get caught up...after all. *smile

the hubby and i have spent a lot of time talking about our sweet, sweet, precious miley girl. with two just around the corner, we're discussing ways of mellowing out what we like to call her 'switch'. it's this energy within her that can go from happy to mad {or vice versa} in point two seconds. an energy that needs a little diversion. a little 'push' in a different direction. the hubby reminded me that the Lord has given her this stubbornness, if you will. He's blessed her with this personality and character that we need to help mold for future blessings upon other people...and herself. cause at this point? not too sure how it's workin' out for her. i'm just sayin'.

other words i could use for her are dynamic. bold. spirited. lively. the-way-i'm-feeling-is-obvious-cause-it's-written-all-over-my-attitude. point blank.

but man, she is just the cutest little peanut. her gibberish makes us laugh. she's starting to pair words and it's pretty much the most adorable thing we've heard. until she learns to control her little switch, we'll continue the teaching aspect. in the meantime, i'll continue cleaning up thrown off poopy diapers during naptime {yup, this actually happened. to me.}, tantrums in the middle of the hallway, the word "no" being screamed at me from the cutest little grumpy face {eek!}, and possibly an hour sitting at the dinner table waiting for her to take even one bite.

ah, the unexplainable joys of motherhood.
