life, everyday {week twenty four}.

{11.27.09} friday: a little shocked i look this bright-eyed and bushy-tailed at 4:57 in the a.m. even though i'm missing my dad like crazy, i'm excited and ready to hit black friday full speed. unfortunately, black friday wasn't ready for me...it was completely dead and quiet at target, our first stop at 5:20am {i took a friend along who was crazy enough to follow *wink}. only twenty minutes after the doors had opened, i was floored at the absence of other early bird shoppers. where was everyone? why weren't they experiencing the joy of shopping when it's still dark in the morning? why weren't they relishing in the sales and steals of hot items and rock bottom prices? why? why? why? i was disappointed, yes. half the fun is fighting the crowds just to stand in line for two hours. ah, well. we still had fun...even prancing right up to the register like it was any ol' day.
{11.28.09} saturday: i just think this little peanut likes to give me any good reason to capture her little piglets in action. here, she's drawing on her doodle board while sprawled on the kitchen floor. it seemed an appropriate place, yes?
{11.29.09} sunday: what's better than being brought perfectly made coffee unexpectedly by the hubby in the morning? brought in this cup...for the first time of the season. aww, warm snugly feelings.
{11.30.09} monday: sunshiny giggles wrapped in cozy caps and woolly sweaters. what could be cuter? hmmm...nothing.
{12.01.09} tuesday: sisterly moment brought to you by sneaky hiding places, closed pantry doors, and sucker bags waiting to be dug through while mama's not looking. busted.
{12.02.09} wednesday: the first snow of the season has a certain right of passage. no matter how much falls. no matter how much sticks. no matter how cold it is. it is loved by all no matter what. even for the few moments it lasts, it leaves a magical impression to be enjoyed and captured by all who see it's beautiful elegance as it drifts slowly and peacefully to the eager earth. its dusting leaves a christmas season to be remembered.
{12.03.09} thursday: i l-o-v-e my new hall tree given to me by a dear friend. the friend in which our apartment was once occupied. she passed the hall tree on to me when they moved out, giving me the perfect home for our *five* stockings {one for baby Jesus, of course}. i had the pleasure of visiting with her today...now, only on occasion when it was once an almost daily occurrence.

  1. Fred Meyer in Richland missed you on Black Friday! The sock sale was crazy and I was thankful for the tables with doughnut holes, cider and coffee for the 5:00am shoppers. Sometimes I have to admit that only in Washington State does stuff like that happen. Merry Advent season to you! I hope it is filled with Joy!

  3. So charming to get this peep into your week.

But I admit, Sunday's little event is my favorite. Yes, it is.

You probably could have guessed that!
