it's been so long. this feels a bit foreign as i sit not knowing exactly what to say.
my mom's departure left me sad and back to my daily routine. as i drove back somberly from the airport on saturday morning {a little too early, i might add}, i took myself through starbucks to get a 'feel better' coffee. with it being free, it lifted my spirits in the smallest way possible. when a free coffee doesn't leave me dancing, that means i'm really down.
for the rest of the weekend, i didn't really know what to do with myself. i didn't have an extra pair of hands doing pretty much ev-er-y-thing for me. i didn't have a loving grammy letting me sleep in past miley girl's wake up call at 5am. my spotless bathroom was a little less than that {psst...i still don't know how you do it}. and quite frankly, i'm not looking forward to preschool tomorrow without my snack helper.
but i suppose it's time to give credit where credit is do {if i haven't already}. my mom and dad were kind enough to surprise me {via skype with my dad on the other side}, before she went back home, with the news that they are returning in less than two and a half months! they will be here for christmas!! our first christmas away!! this christmas!! did you catch that?! T-H-I-S christmas!!! i will not mention that the hubby may or may not have known about this since before we moved here. what?? i know!! the nerve!
for the past two and a half weeks, since i haven't been posting much, it only means i've been blogging in my head. which can only mean my head is about ready to explode. which can only mean many posts are to come. which can only mean you will either get completely bored or be intrigued with my daily ramblings. i'll let you choose. and i'll try not to care much. *wink
Hey there! It is so good to hear from you! I am so happy that your parents are coming for Christmas - what a blessing.
ReplyDeleteHey Beth!
ReplyDeleteSo glad your parents are coming back soon; that's got to be such exciting news for you, especially since it's around Christmas (which is the most fantastic time of the year, in my opinion)! And also glad to see you back at the blog - my daily internet time has been seriously lacking...
;) Sara
I've missed your blogging! How great you enjoyed your mom's visit so much that you are left in a bit of a hangover, would you want it any other way, really?
ReplyDeleteYay! I was so excited to see a post from you this morning. I have missed you {although, I knew it was only because you were having so much fun with your mom!}
