i just need a moment to whine.

labor day weekend is "supposed" to bring about comfort and relaxation with the extra given holiday day. with that said...what in the world happened with our weekend? it kinda stunk.

the girls came down with farely high fevers and overall crud that took over their sweet spirits. sick kiddos always seems to wear this mama down...whether physical first, or emotional, it makes for a long day {especially when i literally count the minutes until the hubby's return from work}. jess spent almost all of saturday in bed {voluntarily}, with miley napping a whopping ten minutes.

long nights. stuffy noses. sickly whimpers. damp pillows from sweaty heads. crusty kleenex. sippies full of water. pink gooey medicine. and my favorite...snuggly moods.

unfortunately, i can feel my body fighting its hardest to avoid whatever is being 'shared'. on top of feeling some disappointments regarding a different subject, this weekend just didn't feel very 'holiday-ish'.

i think i need another trip to target. that makes everything better, right?!

bleh. i wish.

  2. sorry you're feeling down! :( it's so hard when our kids are sick because a bit of that helpless feeling kicks in when we can't "fix" what's making them feel bad. I'm usually a mess when my kids are sick. I hope the recovery is quick and you don't get it! Thinking of you ...

  3. Sorry to hear the girls are sick and I too will be praying you stay healthy. Take your vitamins! I do think a trip to target is in order. Maybe you could browse Target online while you are stuck at home :)

  4. browse the card isle at target for a good laugh. then hop over to the cleaning section for a big bottle of lysol. that's how i keep sickness away. i start cleaning and there is something in that lysol that gives moms immunity. it's like survivor for moms. take care and hope your week gets better!
