life, everyday {week nine}.

{08.14.09} friday: our adventurous one doesn't let size or inability stop her for a second. after falling off, she immediately climbed back on with squeals of excitement. that's my girl. {thanks, jordyn, for sharing your scooter!}
{08.15.09} saturday: shh...sweet friendship is being built in the quietness of a good book {i adore this picture}. little jordyn has been a perfect little companion to help jess acclimate to her new surroundings. they spend time together watching movies, playing in the pool and riding bikes in the courtyard. a 'first-time' princess sleepover is in the making, too.
{08.16.09} sunday: the battle of the binks...i get shivers down my spine just thinking about it. so here's the deal - she's only supposed to have it when it's sleepy time. but look at that face. come on. i could go on and on justifying my weakness and reasons to why it's plugged in her little mouth, but we all know. we aaalll know.
{08.17.09} monday: picture translated: "i miss you grammy SO much, especially with it being your special day! come and see me soon, ok?!" or simply, "i don't want even.one.more. picture. taken. just give me my binky. thankyouverymuch."
{08.18.09} tuesday: after a very long and tiring day of "organating" (organizing), jessa had put herself comfortably on the couch, cozied up with a good magazine {probably to get more creative ideas} before bed. she's been intrigued with the process and accomplishment of "organating" for the last several days. from her dresser, to her bookcases, to her cubbies of coloring books, puzzles and balls, each destination has had a jessa makeover. she gets me every time.
{08.19.09} wednesday: this little italian {she doesn't have an ounce of italian in her - i just like to think so} peanut joined our family for the day. jess had the best time being a little mommy to her and miley benefited from a playmate her age. and just for a second, someone asked if miley and her were twins. and just for a second, i panicked at the thought. is that bad?
{08.20.09} thursday: i treasure little hands that create masterpieces that are more valuable to me than something at the louvre. to me, it's special. unique. hard work handed over with a beaming smile of pride. a little loving voice behind the piece of paper asking, "do you love it, mommy?"

  3. Hey Beth! This is Sara. :) I read your blog on a regular basis, but have never commented thus far... The pictures of the girls are too cute; glad to know everyone is doing well!! Phoenix sits with me to look at the pics, and then insists on playing 'Jessa & Miley' for the rest of the day (wherein he is Jessa, and Baby X has to be called Miley...normal, right? Too cute in my opinion...):) Hope everyone is doing well, just wanted to drop a line and let you know we were thinking of you! Take care ;)
