i am coming to you live from my new mini less-than-three-pounds laptop i just picked up yesterday. my "old" laptop, going on seven years now, has kind of kicked the bucket and sounds like a helicopter taking off when it's just trying to stay alive. so...i got spoiled yesterday and the love of my heart, costco, was having a sweet deal on a little gem of a laptop. it's pretty super cute and holds more memory and hard drive space than my other one could shake its fist at.

without further ado, the beginning of the end:

this is where we came and went everyday to get to and from london. orpington station, a pleasant little stop filled with very helpful people.

this is probably one of my favorites from london. this is exactly what i saw on the other side of my eyelids that night i went to sleep. we are on top of our sightseeing tour bus and the double-decker city bus in the picture is an icon of london transportation.

thanks to granma's ease of planning, we arrived an hour early for the changing of the guards ceremony and scored front rows spots at the gate.
