barely here.

good morning!

i just have to say, i was totally thrilled to be home just in time to watch the season finale of american idol. i was tempted to glue my eyelids to my forehead just to make sure i stayed awake for the 2 hour episode last night. and am i even more excited that kris took home the trophy? why yes, yes i am. adam is lovely, talented and quite the extravagant entertainer, but kris is just kris. and that's what makes him so great. and the fact that kris could never sing a KISS song successfully like adam can makes him even greater in my book. *smile.

i supernaturally mustered up the energy to take some clothes and toys to the trade store to see if i could get some money for them yesterday. after making 30 bucks for my efforts, i wasn't too bummed that i could barely walk by the end of the day. this body clock business is completely throwing me. sometimes i don't get why we can't just all be in the same time zone. i mean, really? it would make traveling that much more enjoyable, right?

i really do have good intentions to edit my pics and get them posted. i feel like i shouldn't be posting anything until i have photos to show. please bare with me...patience is an incredible virtue. *wink. my first day back with the girls yesterday was actually a little challenging. i think yet another transition back to normalcy was a bit overwhelming. getting back to our routine. getting back to our crazy schedule. getting back to life in the country. first, they had dad for a couple days after papa and grammy's and now they are full blown back to the daily grind of being home. i had a pretty awesome rewarding mommy moment though. i was sitting on the couch in the living room and miley came around the kitchen counter island, head bobbing with every wobbly step. i fully expected a little crawling baby. she is just cruising around everywhere...getting more brave everyday with each little step. she has to walk with her arms sticking straight out and slightly up to retain proper balance. it is absolutely adorable! what a treat to come home to and be welcomed by.

after leaving paris wet, windy and cold it is so refreshing to have the sunshine warming the day!
