i knew before this week even hit monday that it would fly by. however, i didn't really anticipate for my wisdom teeth to pierce through like hot fire resulting in making an appointment to get them yanked in a week and a half. yay me? i'm not terribly worried about the procedure itself...just the healing afterwards. that's the fun part, right? possible development of dry sockets, chipmunk cheeks, tender exposed nerve, sucking down blended who-knows-what for a few days, hot-cold-hot-cold...or is it cold-warm-hot-col...who knows! i beg of you to tell me only of your happy wisdom teeth stories because i know that they do exist. but what am i talking about...i've been sliced open like a filleted fish twice to have babies removed. this is nothin'. tmi? okay, sorry.
i'm very excited about this evening. leaving girls at home with daddy to go have some fun with my mommy group should ease some worries a bit. we're hitting the painted pottery studio. funny thing...i always get a little nervous about what to paint. you pay a pretty penny for a blank canvas of clay that i really don't want to mess up. it's also the perfectionist in me. what? me? when it comes to creative projects being perfect? nooo! if it's deemed worthy, i'll post a pic when i get it back. *wink.
i'm also getting very excited about the big three-person birthday party this weekend. we're headed back to my hometown for a little celebration. miley is turning one this tuesday, hudson is turning one on thursday (next week) and cory is turning 18 tomorrow - as is my father in law's birthday tomorrow. but not 18. happy birthday dad! i found a really cute set of paper products with polka dots all over them at party palace - "don't have a party without us!" probably the last time i'll step foot in a party supply shop for awhile. the sticker shock is still setting in. *smile. we're having dinner and cupcakes made by my fabulous sister in law on saturday. i haven't come up with a party favor {yet}. not sure if my dream of party planning is going to come full circle. i thrive on planning parties, making invites, creating adorable party accents and having something for the party guests to take home with them as a happy reminder of good times had. anyone know where to find treat size dots candy boxes? you know, the gummy candy in yellow boxes with dots on them? would be the perfect addition.
well, i better go put my face on to get ready for another busy day. i hope your week is accomplished, rested and full of joyful living!
Oh what CAN'T polka dot paperware make happier??! Even better (this is my dream) would be REAL polka dot dishware all mismatched and cute :)

I won't tell you part of my story...but i will tell you that my propensity to swell like a balloon was stopped by the fact that my dear mom put a fresh icepack on my cheeks every 2 hours around the clock for 5 days....and no swelling!!!!!! Like none!!!! I lived on ice cream and easy mac (i would add that to your shopping list) fo a week! You'll be great....& you better take birthday pictures!!!
