a day to be grateful.

you know those days that are just absolutely fabulous? today was one of those.

it started off, not like any other sunday. we usually go to early service which requires an early rise and biscuits on the move to get out the door on time. this morning, we planned on going to late service 35 minutes away. the hubby informed me the night previous that he was going to get up with miley at the crack of dawn and let me sleep in. a rarity on sunday. awww...what a man.

so the church service? SO amazing that it will have to be a separate post all together. we will miss our worship there so much when we move.

we made lunch plans with new friends after church. they invited us over to their house and ms. heidi made an incredible roast dinner. their little olivia is only five days older than miley and handsome ezra is 2 1/2. we appreciate them opening their home to us and taking the time to encourage us in fellowship. it was such a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere - a perfect sunday afternoon.

the next item on our daily agenda was to run two errands: WinCo and costco. could it get any better? as we made a relatively quick run into costco, we loaded the car with our water, bacon, and new stock of toilet paper (i seriously love stocking up on toilet paper - don't ask). we drove the five minutes it takes to WinCo and {i} sadly realized it would be about a 45 minute wait in line as the parking lot was once again overflowing with eager sunday shoppers. we didn't have the time to wait because we unexpectedly got a wonderful call that big brother and family would be in town this evening on their way to the airport. so yes, the day just continued to get better (besides the whole not-getting-to-take-hubby-into-WinCo-for-the-first-time-because-of-crazy-amounts-of-people thing). so we drove the 15 minutes to our old stomping grounds to our familiar supermarket. got what we needed, hubby drove me back up to world market (keeps getting better), and then met family at starbucks (just got a lot better).

i wish i had a camera with me today - i even told myself to grab it this morning. when we were at starbucks, "little" kruse (my 9 1/2 month nephew) was so big and mobile. he is so super cute. i was telling my brother that our family makes pretty cute babies! *smile. surprisingly, kruse and miley have many similarities in their adorable little faces. kind of interesting with him being half costa rican.

besides coming home and realizing we didn't have any water, today was such a blessing! because, with mr. fix-it as a hubby, we have water back already. i hope you found reasons to be joyful today and here's to a week of many more!
