a well-thought out idea of how laundry works by jessa:
"the clothes are dry. and you take them and fix them by putting them in the laundry and then put them back in my room?"
her current movie obsession: peter pan's 'return to neverland'.
me: "jessa, what do you want to be when you grow up?" i always like asking her this time to time because it truly changes. often.
jessa: "a ballerina!" as she demonstrates her very well-balanced twirl. including finger on top of her head and other hand placed gently on her hip. self-taught. previous answers to this question have been an ice skater and skateboarder.
it is a little well-known fact that jessa can shovel food faster into her mouth when skittles are mentioned. (what? meee? bribing? nooooo!) i wouldn't even consider such a thing!? it's more of a reward...or dessert per se...after dinner is completely devoured. so the girl likes her skittles. who doesn't like a little explosion of rainbow happily dancing in their mouth? i do!
she loves pollies. slang for polly pockets. we have one rule with these tiny pieces of rubbery delight: keep them COMPLETELY out of reach of baby sister. we've been doing...weeelll...pretty.good. with this rule. every morning, jess brings her little peach pouch filled with princess pollies, pet pollies, barbie-ish pollies to the coffee table and plays for a solid half hour. every now and again i find a boot or pint size shoe floating on the carpet's surface. it does make me happy that they make her happy. good times.
Pollies are a big hit around here, too... It must be the age. Our big problem... any one left one the ground becomes a chew toy for Butch!
