as i sit dressed in black, laced veil covering my somber face, i am reminded this morning of our slumped economy. if you haven't heard, starbucks is closing 900 stores in total. and i just might be to blame for their horrific 70% deficit in their first quarter of sales. i'm just saying.
i haven't had my starbucks drink in a week and a half (yeah, you might want to sit down now due to your shock). it might have to do with my new eating habits, my "diet", and my losing 7 lbs in one week. or maybe the fact i was always reminded of the waste of responsibility over stewardship of our money i was throwing away. it could be any or all of those reasons. i now know why i was packing on the pounds. and before, it wasn't a big secret either. there's a very good reason why those drinks taste so good...because they're so bad for me! and our budget. so, sorry starbucks for my change of plans. you'll have to find someone else's wallet to raid and body to destroy.

ReplyDeletehaha--oh my. the "recession" officially hit me two weeks ago when i was returning christmas gifts @ the mall & realized that GAP was closing! GAP!! and starbucks probably isn't close behind...

you crack me up! i am very proud of you for going a whole week and a half! that has got to be very hard. unfortunately we have a starbucks on base here which makes it very tempting, i am glad it doesn't have a drive through or i would go there a lot more! i like janessa's idea to send them "i'm sorry" cards.
