start your engines.

let's put aside the fact that it feels like midnight - and it's only 8:15 pm, my feet are completely swollen, my eyes weigh ten pounds and my checkbook is slightly damaged. i had a wicked sweet time today! my dad, two older brothers and their wives, and myself were at kohl's as our first destination by 4 am. after that, we hit eight more places in a total of eight hours. i actually did really well and found some great deals. and like i said as we were waiting in our hour and a half line at kohl's, it's all about the experience. nothing compared to my two hour and forty five minute wait at shopko last year for one $9.99 mr. potato head toy. that was crazy. and totally worth it.

oh, and christian? it was great to see you at kohl's too! *smiles.

as my dad and i drove home we were reflecting on our adventures. we were talking about how it only felt like three, maybe four hours of shopping time. isn't he a gem? a man who can say that time flew by when he was pushing my cart, or being my cart, holding a place in line with overflowing arms, circulation slowing being cut off below the elbows, adapting to my random spastic route changes down aisles, waiting twenty minutes for starbucks, reaching to the highest peak for that one ride along toy, being patient during my picky shopping strategies...oh, the list could go on. and on.

we were home by noon and naps were quickly taken. i woke to a house filled with family once again. we had a great later afternoon and early evening eating tacos and visiting with my cousin from texas. today was such a fabulous experience. i literally leaped out of bed this morning and am now eagerly waiting to leap back in. fabulous fun is quite exhausting.

oh, and is it true? is it really snowing? really?

  3. I can't believe that you were out by 4am. I was feeling a bit guilty because my SIL got me a big door buster from target... Did you see that huge lego set (Emperia Star fighter... or something like that)? I be you just looked right past it - it is all boy. Anyway, I was still in my PJs drinking coffee while she was standing in line. I owe her big!
