patch full of pumpkins.

we like to call 'em 'punkins'. punkins are so comfortable in their own skin. round and plump. a happy color of orange brings the flavor of fall to our doorstep. they sit there properly, lined up in a row. or sometimes even a cluster. content with their place among us. after they've served us well, many people continue with cutting them up. cooking them. roasting their seeds. and yet they sit. so humbly. round and plump.

we have one rule at the punkin patch: you can pick any punkin that you can carry. as you can see, miley didn't quite grasp that rule yet. jessa picked out a perfect "hunny-sized" one for miley and did a perfect pick of her punkin as well.

i could almost hear the whispers of the pumpkins, "pick me, pick me." they sat there clustered in groups of four, sometimes five. waiting there turn to shine. jessa wanted to adopt them all as she held them tight in her arms, "i love this one!"

  1. are you going to the pumpkin patch for the MOPS get together? I think you should be the designated photographer! Great pics. I struggled with chasing after little ones and taking pics.
