i absolutely love making this delish dish. it is really quite simple. just a bunch of yummy goodness thrown together in the same bowl with a pile of spinach. included:
fresh spinach
roasted garlic almond shavings
craisins
ranch wasabi strips
honey roasted/salted sunflower seeds
bacon bits
chopped red onion
tomato (this is held out most of the time for my husband's sake - sad, i know)
small amount of pepper
kraft poppyseed dressing
mix it all together.
at first, i thought that the packages of 'accents' were pretty spendy. i soon realized that i could get about four (sometimes more) salads out of each package - feeding our family (with leftovers) with each salad made. you can make the sunflower seeds, craisins and bacon bits stretch even further. so once the math is all figured out, it turned out being a pretty tasty deal. haha. get it? you see, it was a pun. get it now? ha. ha. ok i'm done.
the other night, i threw in some chicken for variety and to make it more of the main dish. a little more hearty. i'm sure there are other things that could be tossed in to make it more delightful to your taste as well. that's why i love salads so much. so versatile. flexible. yummy. i could seriously eat this for breakfast, lunch and dinner. so good.
that looks so good! thanks for sharing, i will definitly try it!
