fifth percentile peanut.

miley rae had her routine sixth month appointment at the end of last week. weighing in at a whoppin' 12 lbs. 9 oz. she is categorized in the fifth percentile for her age group. her head circumference was the same, but her height was considerably different. she is 25 1/4" long which places her in the 40%. now i understand why her onsies are larger in width in comparison to their length. she has just recently moved into 3-6 month clothing because of the lack of room to button shut. she also gets this height benefit from daddy. lucky girl.

i introduced her to sweet potatoes this week. she eats a whole container of 1st foods in a matter of minutes. as opposed to grabbing the bowl (she's surprisingly really good at not doing that) she face dives into it instead, purely out of excitement. here's proof,six months have brought changes to her sleep patterns as well. changes that she has not adapted to on her own, but with a wee little nudge from mommy. she's been only waking up once at 2 am the last couple of nights. with a little positive encouragement, she goes right back to sleep without being fed, or even held. cries have been reduced and sleep has been somewhat restored. whoo-hoo! miley's pediatrician was very helpful with letting me know that she had to go through the same thing with her second. she also informed me that miley does not need to be eating in the middle of the night at six months. hallelujah! cause she ain't gettin' no more of this from me! ;)
