a day at home.

this is long and coming. a day to just be in one place. not being whisked away by four rubber wheels, zipping here. zipping there. i rose early to get the house picked up for the infamous eyes of the market to take its assessment. it went well, at least, i think it did. i'll find out more this evening when the paperwork is drawn up. did i mention i don't like waiting...? until then, it was the usual...scrape pealing paint and redo on porch, fresh flowers for pop of color out front, declutter toys in girl's room, sweep eves of roof...most of which we already planned on doing.

the rest of the day has been easy going. spent most of the later morning outside with myah and mr. jesse. always a constant learning curve of sharing, trading and "being gentle". constant, i tell you. we sure will miss the lazy play days right outside our front door. jess and her little best friend. they are so stinkin' adorable.

earlier this morning i had to laugh at something i told jessa. she grabbed her cute bee shovel that myah got her to dig in the dirt. i advised her by saying, "just don't get too dirty, okay?" yeeah...okay mommy. what kind of question is that? first of all, if i didn't want her to get dirty, don't make it into a question. secondly, if i didn't want her to get dirty, advise her to put the shovel away. i just giggled inside at my lame attempts and shrugged my shoulders. what kind of three year old isn't supposed to get dirty every now and again? for a moment, i actually felt like one of those 'un-fun' moms. which, by the way, i don't think i know any. *smiles

girls are napping and miley has been most of the day. she woke up with a little cold this morning. snuffly, coughy and oh-so snuggly. why are they always uber-cute when they don't feel well? she's still a happy little camper despite her failed attempts at getting air through her stuffed nostrils. poor peanut...guess i'll just have to give extra snuggles the rest of the day. bummer. *smiles again
