hello five months.
i happily welcome you. you've brought awareness and new laughter. discovery of little toes for playtime. lots of explosive expression and wobbly word sounds. you are a joy to unfold. to watch in wonder and amazement. miley is learning from you, five months. and we welcome you.
i have been enjoying this next stage in babyhood so much. miley is just so stinkin' cute as she becomes more aware of her own personality everyday. grandma 'm' said it best when she asked miley, "you just smile with your whole face, don't you?" she lights up everyone around her with her open mouth smiles. sounds escape her with excitement. her legs kick with happiness. her hands reach and grab with imagination. i'm anticipating the introduction of solid foods in the next several weeks, as i can tell she is readily waiting as well. that will make for some great pixel moments.
grammy and papa come this weekend. our last visit with them just wasn't long enough, said them. i have to wholeheartedly agree. jessa already planned the weekend out with papa on the phone yesterday. apparently, i'm making tacos on sunday and we're taking them on a walk to starbucks. now that girl knows what fun is! we actually took an evening walk the other night and on the way back i knew i was tired when i wanted to reach for the headlights on the stroller. yeeaah...night time walking can be dangerous to this one. watch out.
p.s. it's night time now, after dinner and after our evening walk. daddy is making miley laugh so hard by grunting at her and playing with her little fingers. i'm not sure she knows what to make of the sound coming out of her. it's too cute!
*so i couldn't think of a title for this post because titles drive me crazy. i asked the hubby to throw one out there and...he gave me this one, with no knowledge of what had transpired. so i went with it. and we laughed. this doesn't have anything to do with the package of sour patch kids on the coffee table, does it?
oh SAD that you gave away a vase. because honestly, that is one of jon's best memories of the one time he was in your house "i like all of beth's vases", he said. i won't break the news to him that you thrifted one of them. he'll be too sad....
