on whoo-hoo moments...and the weekend.

this weekend was...grrr-ate (with the growl of tony the tiger). i guess it's not even over yet, but with that off-friday thrown in there, i'm thrown. works for me cause the hubby still gets three days off. whoo-hoo!

there were many great memorable moments to highlight in this special blog entry. we've felt spoiled in this little house lately, as it has 'guested' some superstars. first, kruse a couple of weekends back and this weekend, hudson graced us with his presence. he brought mom and dad too, who make fantastic shopping buddies (helllooo world market and target!). we all enjoyed the fireworks last night on some downtown steps of the arena. jessa was wowed. eyes wide. mouth open. hands clapping. miley slept...the whole time. we had many friends join us, which as i realized at the end, was our last fourth of july here in town. next year, we'll be asking for advice where to find the best firework show in dallas. i immediately got sad at the thought of, "this is the last time we're going to sit in our spot. this is the last time we'll be here with these friends. this is the last time..." sad i tell you. sad. but the firework show was an array of ear-popping color. i saw some new creations in the world of firework art. the finale was beautiful. little j was so excited this year to really be able to enjoy them. whoo-hoo!

kudos to the hubby for fixing one of our a.c. units. just in time for our guests to sleep upstairs in the sauna. he fixed the one that fell two stories out of a window the other day. i guess that term applies, you break it, you fix it. well, he did. and we don't literally let our guests sleep in a sauna. *wink

as we speak...or as i write, i am uploading some stinkin' adorable pics from this weekend. some of miley kickin' it on hudson's back lying in the grass. some from our evening last night. lots of that pooty face hudson is famous for. will post those soon. whoo-hoo!

and just for the record, jacob stayed up until 1 a.m. last night! and still rode his bicycle to work. i think he got a whole four and a half hours of sleep. for those of you that really know jacob, enough said. that deserves a whoo-hoo for you, babe! *wink wink

i really needed these last two days of refreshment and family. thank you Lord, for your impeccable timing in planning. He knew it would provide a grateful heart and a re-energizing of the soul. i am now well equipped and prepared to take care of 4 and 5 year olds in church sunday school tomorrow morning. whoo-hoo for ankle-biters! *wink
