poor little j has viral tonsillitis. by the look of the past pics, i'm guessing it might be from the dramatic weather changes of our lovely getaway. however, she did get it just the second day that we were there and was pretty miserable for most of the night times. it seemed to hit her worse after a day of fresh air and fun. which made for a bummer of a night trying to sleep. she would wake up coughing so much and then crying that it hurt her throat. sad.
on a better note, i think myles enjoyed her first camping trip. lucky girl, at the age of 2 1/2 months. she loved being outside and was a trooper when the outside forced us to stay inside. she maintained her schedule and found our little yurt nice and cozy. she had some "firsts" while we were away as well. she let out a kind of squeal-like-laugh at grammy...the biggest one i had ever heard. it was music to our ears. we also discovered she loves the sound of a rolling "r". too bad i can't do it.
now that we're home, we're taking it easy and hoping for healthy tonsils. i actually made a day of so you think you can dance marathon. i had quite a few to catch up on and jess spent most of the day in her bed. i managed to put a ham in the crockpot and even sprinkle seasoning on it. oh, and make a pot of coffee. i think that's the majority of my activities today. besides taking care of the two most beautiful little girls ever.
of course, today had to be the most gorgeous day...yay for sunshine!
