miley rae

littlest sweet pea had her 2 month checkup today. it was delayed from yesterday due to frustrating, ridiculous insurance miscommunication. gotta love it. however, that put off getting her shots for 22 hours. when jessa had her 2 month checkup 3 years, 4 months ago, she had to get five shots. miley only had three. apparently "they" have combined two of the shots and one has become a liquid that they swallow. yeah...miley was already crying, wait...screaming at that point that it took a good five minutes to get about ten drops down her throat. poor girl. so by the time the needles came out, i didn't think it could get any worse. well...mommy was wrong. her face transformed into a beet (now i know why they literally call it "beet red") and she stopped breathing for a good few seconds. she was not happy. thank goodness the nurse was fast and before i knew it, i was holding her again and she was calming down very quickly. i had already dressed her because i knew that would not be an easy task after the fact. since that traumatic experience for her, she has decided to sleep her horrors off all day. i fed her when we got home at 1 pm ish and i woke her up past 9 pm so that i could get ready for bed. and out she went after her dinner. she had a hard day. praise God that the she got a great health report! she's growing great. strength skills are fabulous. and she was even called an "advanced baby". because of her sleep patterns, like yesterday, she made it very easy to get ready for our BIG yard sale this weekend...

...only three days and counting. i can't believe how much work we have put into preparing for this monstrous event. here is a letter i wrote to the rain:

dear rain,

i heard you were on your way. i would appreciate if you could hold off on this coming saturday due to some previous plans that we have made. your arrival would make things very difficult. making some very hard work that a lot of people have done gone to waste. we appreciate your beauty and supply to the earth on most occasions. it is necessary that you shower us with your abundance, but this one request would be a huge blessing. thank you for understanding.
