i want to tell their daddy thank you. thank you for teaching obedience. displaying sacrificial love. being Jesus in their little lives. he teaches what is most important. what is lasting. for that, he is the best they can have. he is their daddy. and good at it he is. :)
today was a day we see all too often. a day we all love. look forward to the most. with it being father's day, it was just a little more special. more meaningful to have daughter-daddy time in the front lawn. a little more special to play in the park together. and a little more memorable as we took our stroll to starbucks. i had to experience it from behind a lens. to capture the essence of the relationship between daddy and girls. as the sunshine warmed our backs, it reminded us to be grateful for each day. reminding me to be grateful for this man that walks beside me in life. sundays are days to rejoice and be glad. to relax and remember. we were thankful for this sunday to rejoice in relationship and remember our daddy.
jessa made daddy a beautiful painted canvas with her hand print on it. then i took miley's little hand and made a print on top of jessa's in a different color. jessa continued to paint a masterpiece to complete the gift. it turned out perfectly and daddy loved it! i have enjoyed making these kinds of gifts for daddy for father's day. gifts made from little hands and big hearts. jessa is always so proud of her work and excited to show daddy. we've started quite the little collection.
i also wanted to give a 'hurrah' to my daddywaddd, as i like to call him. a man of great wisdom and strength. inspiring me to understand and pray for what i wanted in my own husband. thank you for your years of love and encouragement! happy father's day!
props to all the great dads out there!
