this past week...

...in and out. inside and outside. warm and even warmer. borderline hot. this past week has been outside adventures and inside purging. i can't tell you how good it feels to get ready for a yard sale. just get rid of it! this can be my new motto. and it feels even better to be outside getting my little three year old dirty and wet from the neighbor's little swimming pool. as little jess was splashing with her friend, i ran inside to grab my camera, of course. a miserable rookie mistake...my battery was dead. i had previously realized this just hours before. that was adequate time to get it recharged for a possible 'picture-perfect' moment. for me, those happen almost every moment. :) chalk it up to a learning experience. since the cousin reunion (more pics included above), we've spent most of our time at the park...with grammy and papa who came for a visit...and the hubby and i went on a date for the first time since myles was born. i just had to take him mini golfing. we haven't done that in so long and it was evident in the performance of my put. i kidnapped him from work one evening, took him to chinese, golfing and then a starbucks dessert. can't get much better than that. oh, we also cruised the subaru car lot...wink wink.so as i wash and scrub every inch and crevice of a three year old who has spent most of her time outside, i am reminded that a child's play is their work. it's what they are born to do. how they learn. how they grasp the world in the palm of their hand. how they observe and process. study. be. it's what they know. and i want to be right alongside as she grows.
