come. now is the time. the time to worship. when nothing else seems possible, but worshipping my God. as i lay on the couch...day after day...i feel there is nothing else i can do but cry out to God to complete what He is doing in me. if i didn't have emptiness in the first place, i wouldn't be able to fill it with His love. and at this point, there is nothing else i can do but seek after Him. as i unsteadily continue to lose what i do have left in my days (my mom's group, church, bible study, grocery shopping, enjoying the sunshine), i find it very easy to get overwhelmed with contempt for my situation. how can i possibly even have one ounce of unhappiness for what the Lord HAS given me? it is selfishness. pride. things i'm good at feeling deep in my roots.
but even deeper than those roots lies my heart attitude. that is what comes from my mouth. i only want praises and thankfulness to fill the air. my true attitude is tested in my 'suffering.' if i can't praise my God during the hard times, than i'm telling Him He's not worthy of my praise. my greatest command is to love the Lord with all my heart, with all my soul, with all my mind and with all my strength. yeah, did i catch that...my ALL! even when i feel like i don't have an ounce of strength left after fighting contractions all day long. and the evidence of my love toward Him is shown through my obedience to His commands. this, my friends, is always a work in progress.
so, as i lay practically on bedrest, i am reminded that there is nothing left to do but praise God in the end. by the way, i better get those feet put back up! :)
